Double Ninth Festival has begun in Happy Pet Story!
Basically, it's a day to show respect to the seniors, climb mountains and enjoy Chrysanthemum-everything! It is also known as Chongyang Festival, Height Ascending Festival or Chrysanthemum Festival. In China, the number nine has the similar pronunciation with the word meaning 'forever', symbolising longevity. The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, and is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals, happening around the time of the autumn equinox (usually September 22). Many people refer to it as the "Fifteenth of the Eighth Month." And because the full bright moon on that night tends to inspire people's anticipation for a family reunion, it is also called "Festival of Reunion."
